Wireless Router Connection
Plug the network cable into the Internet port of the router. Connect the other end of the cable to the port on the back of the AT&T Yahoo! modem.
Snap the Xbox 360 wireless adapter into place on the back of the console. The two plastic prongs on the adapter slide into the two holes above the network port on the console to hold it in place.
Plug the Xbox 360 wireless network adapter into the port on the back of the console.
Select "System Settings" from the My Xbox section of the Dashboard menu. This is the menu that appears when the Xbox 360 is first turned on.
Select "Network Settings" from the system settings menu.
Select "Configure Network" from the network settings menu.
Select "Wireless Mode" from the network configuration menu.
Select "Scan for Networks." The Xbox 360 will automatically display any wireless network it is currently in range of receiving.
Select your wireless router from the networks displayed.
Enter the security information for your network if prompted. You need to do this only if you set up any security features on your router network.
Select "Test Xbox Live Connection." Wait for the connection test to complete.
Select your Xbox Live gamer tag from the My Xbox section of the Dashboard. You will automatically connect to Xbox Live through that membership.
Modem Connection
Plug the network cable into the port on the back of the Xbox 360.
Plug the other end of the network cable into the port on the back of the AT&T Yahoo! modem.
Select "System Settings" under My Xbox on the Dashboard menu. Select "Network Settings."
Select "Test Xbox Live Connection" from the network settings menu. Wait for the connection test to complete.
Select a gamer tag with an Xbox Live membership from the list under My Xbox on the Dashboard. It will automatically log into Xbox Live.
Wired Router Connection
Plug a network cable into the Internet port on the router. Connect the other end of the cable into the AT&T Yahoo! modem.
Plug a network cable into the port on the back of the Xbox 360 console. Connect the other end of the cable to the port on the back of the router.
Open the network settings menu. It is located by selecting "System Settings" from the My Xbox section of the Dashboard.
Select "Test Xbox Live Connection" from the network settings menu. Wait for the connection test to complete.
Select the gamer tag with an Xbox Live membership you want to use. The Xbox 360 will automatically log into Xbox Live with that membership.
