Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut out a section of the outer cover of your ethernet cable using a sharp knife or a wire stripper. If you are using a knife, cut at an angle so you slowly slice off the outer cover. Then peel away the outer cover to expose the inner colored wires.
Isolate the orange wire if it is tied around other wires by unwinding it. Once enough of the orange wire is exposed, use a knife or a wire stripper to cut it.
Peel off both ends of the orange wire's outer cover to expose the copper wiring. Only use the wire stripper for this process as the knife is not precise enough to cut the cover without slicing off the copper wiring.
Loosen the two screws on the light switch using the screw driver. Wrap each end of the exposed copper wiring on each screw of the light switch.
Tighten the light switch screws so that the copper wiring is secure. Then cover the screws using a piece of electrical tape.
Connect the ethernet cable to your modem and PC, ensuring that the switch is set to the "ON" position. Then log into your "Call of Duty 4" game.
Play a "Call of Duty 4" multiplayer match. Any time during your game play, press your switch to the "OFF" position to freeze everyone but yourself. Do this for a few seconds to prevent from being auto booted from the network, then put it back to the "ON" position to unfreeze everyone.
