How to Add Music to the Hard Drive of an Xbox 360

The Xbox 360, like some other home gaming consoles, gives users the ability to listen to music CDs on the console. Additionally, you can copy music from the CDs directly to the Xbox 360's hard drive, at which point you can access the music files at any time directly from the drive.

Instructions

      Turn your Xbox 360 on.

      Insert a music CD into the Xbox 360's disc slot. The music player should start as soon as the Xbox 360 recognizes the disc.

      Select the "Rip CD" option. You will be taken to the rip menu, where you can choose which tracks you want to copy to the hard drive.

    • 4

      Select the "Rip CD" option again to copy the music files to the hard drive.
