How to Fix the XBox 360 When the Blinking Rings Are Showing

A design flaw in the Xbox 360 can cause connections in the graphics chip to separate while playing graphics-intensive games. A series of blinking LED (light emitting diode) rings will appear on the front of the game console as it refuses to start. You can fix the Xbox 360 by trapping the heat inside of the game console so that the connections to the graphics chip reconnect. The procedure does not require opening up the Xbox 360, so the Microsoft warranty remains in effect should you need to take it into a service center for a repair later on.
