Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the ethernet plug from the ethernet cable that is attached to the back of the Xbox 360. Remove the other end of the ethernet cable from the uplink port on the router.
Attach one of the ethernet cable plugs from the lag switch into an uplink port of the router. Attach the other ethernet cable plug into the input port on the back of the Xbox 360.
Turn on the Xbox 360. Eject the disc tray of the Xbox 360's DVD drive. Insert a game disc that has an Xbox Live component into the disc tray. Close the disc tray.
Select "Network game" from the game's main menu once the game disc has loaded. Choose to play an online game as you would normally--for example, Call of Duty 4 or any other game where you go after opponents using weapons as they attempt to go after you as well.
Flip the switch on the lag switch to activate it. Watch as the characters on the screen all freeze in place as the Xbox 360 continues to keep you connected to Xbox Live, as it thinks the signal loss is coming from the internet.
Approach your opponent who is no longer moving. Shoot your opponent in the head to "kill" him or her.
Flip the switch on the lag switch again to deactivate it. Watch as the characters on the screen in the game once again start to move, except for the one who you have "killed."
