How to Raise the Volume on the Kinect

The Kinect unit itself doesn't have a volume control button because it's designed to integrate with your Xbox 360 software. Sound levels on both voice volume and game volume can be adjusted to make your Kinect sound better to you. Game volume adjusts how loud the game is during chat, so that you can still hear your friends in the midst of a match.

     Turn on your console and sign in to Xbox Live with your gamertag.

     Press the guide button. Use the thumbstick to scroll to "Settings."

     Select "Preferences" and then select "Voice."

     Highlight either "Game Volume" or "Chat Volume." Use the D-Pad to move the volume levels up or down. Click "B" to return to the main menu when you're done.
