How to Tether to an XBox

Set Up Hot Spot - iOS Devices

  Touch the "Settings" icon on the Home screen of the iOS device.

  Touch "General," then "Cellular" and follow the on-screen prompts to enable Personal Hotspot with your cellular provider, if it's not enabled already.

  Touch the "Settings" icon on the Home screen and touch "Personal Hotspot."

  Touch the "Wi-Fi Password" field and enter a password for your hot spot. This is the password you will need to enter when tethering to the Xbox.

Set Up Hot Spot - Android Devices

  Touch the "Settings" icon on the Home screen of the Android device.

  Touch "Wireless & networks" and then touch "Tethering & portable hotspot."

  Touch the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" check box to enable hot spot functionality.

  Touch the "Security" menu, select "WPA2 PSK" and then input a password for your hot spot in the provided field.

Tether to Xbox

  Select "Settings" on the Xbox dashboard.

  Select "System" and then select "Network Settings."

  Select the hot spot to which you want to tether.

  Enter the hot spot's password and select "Done."

  Select "Configure network."

  Select the "Basic Settings" tab and then select "Wireless Mode."

  Select your hot spot network from the list of available networks and then select "Yes" if you are prompted to update console software.
