How to Spawn a Wizard in Terraria for Xbox

In role-playing games, your character is the hero, but even heroes need a bit of help. In "Terraria," this help comes in the form of non-player characters who sell you unique items or provide a useful service. Before an NPC will appear, however, you need to meet specific conditions. To spawn the wizard, an NPC who sells magic items you can't obtain in any other way, you need to defeat the final enemy of the game's normal difficulty in that particular world, converting the world to hard mode.

  Travel to the underworld, locate a voodoo demon, defeat it and obtain the guide voodoo doll item it carries.

  Travel back to the surface and ensure a guide NPC is currently alive in your world. Return to the underworld and throw the guide voodoo doll into lava. Doing this kills the guide and makes the wall of flesh boss enemy appear.

  Defeat the wall of flesh. Doing this sets the game world to hard mode, making it possible for the wizard NPC to appear.

  Explore underground, starting at the cavern layer, until you find the wizard. He only appears rarely, so it may take you some time to locate him, and initially he appears tied up. Talking to him will free him, at which point he will reappear in your town every time he dies, provided there is a house available for him.
