How to Get the Birthday Hat in The Amazing Spider-Man for the Xbox

While "The Amazing Spider-Man" for the Xbox 360 is primarily based on the movie of the same name, there are a number of comic book-based unlockables to find. One such unlockable is the party hat, which commemorates Spider-Man's 50th anniversary as a comic book character. You can only unlock this blue hat, featuring a logo calling attention to the 50th anniversary, by setting your Xbox 360 to a specific date. Make sure you disconnect your console from the Xbox Live service before changing the date.

     Select "System" from the Settings tab on your Xbox 360 dashboard.

     Select "Console Settings" from the menu and then "Clock."

     Select "Date and Time" and change the date on your Xbox 360 to any day in August 2012.

     Load "The Amazing Spider-Man" and you will unlock the party hat after loading your saved game.

     Select the party hat from your closet when you are in Spider-Man's in-game apartment. The party hat is on the shelf above the costumes in the closet and is usable with any other costume.
