Location of the Games on an Installed Xbox 360 Hard Drive

The Xbox 360 enables users to install disc-based games to the hard drive, decreasing the load times while reducing the amount of wear on the disc drive. However, there is one drawback: installed games can take a large amount of space on the hard drive, ranging anywhere from 4GB to 8GB a game. If you find yourself running low on hard drive space, knowing the location of your installed games enables you to delete them and recover hard drive space for other uses.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the "Settings" tab from the Xbox 360's dashboard and then select "System."

    • 2

Select "Storage" followed by "Hard Drive" from the Storage Devices menu.

    • 3

Select "Games & Apps" to display a list of all installed games and applications on your Xbox 360.

    • 4

Select an installed game from the list. The list is in chronological order and you can recognize an installed game by its 4GB to 8GB size.

    • 5

Select "Delete" followed by "Yes" to delete the installed game from your hard drive.
