How to Play Split Screen on Minecraft for Xbox

While the Xbox 360 and PC versions of "Minecraft" feature many similarities, the Xbox version includes some unique features, such as split-screen mode. With split-screen mode, four players can play on one screen, with each player occupying a portion of the same screen. The only requirement to play split-screen in "Minecraft" is that your Xbox 360 is outputting at 720p or higher. You can play split-screen both locally or online with other players.

     Select "Play Game" at the main menu and choose either "Create a New World" or "Load A Previous World."

     Uncheck the box that says "Online Game" to play local split-screen or leave it checked to play split-screen with online capabilities. Select "Load" when finished.

     Press the "Start" button on the controller of the player who is entering the game and select his Xbox 360 profile. Repeat this step to add additional players to the game, up to four total.
