Flash Drive
Update your Xbox 360 with the latest system software. If your system requires an update, you'll receive a prompt to download it when you connect to Xbox LIVE. Accept the update to install it automatically.
Lift open the oval-shaped flap covering the two USB ports on the front of the console.
Connect a compatible USB flash drive to one of the free USB ports on the front of your console. Your USB drive must have at least 1GB and up to 32GB of free space to work on the Xbox.
Press the controller's "Guide" button and then go to "Settings" and "System Settings."
Select "Memory" or "Storage."
Select "Configure Now" to erase all data on the drive and format it for use on the Xbox. If you only want to use some of the space on the drive for Xbox content, select "Customize." Adjust the Reserved Storage slider to the amount of space to reserve for Xbox content. By default, the console reserves 512MB for system use.
Select "Configure" to confirm.
Play Music
Connect a USB cable to your MP3 player, digital camera or other media device. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on the Xbox console.
Press the "Guide" button and select "Media."
Select "Media" and then select "Music Player."
Select "Portable Device" and then select the song you want to play.
View Pictures
Connect your digital camera or other media device to the Xbox via USB cable.
Select "Apps" and "My Apps."
Select "Picture Viewer" and "Portable Device."
Select an image and press "A" to view it in full-screen mode.
