How to Unlock the Warrior's Kimono in Soul Calibur

The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 fighting game "SoulCalibur IV" features a character creation mode where you can modify existing game characters or create your own. You can outfit your characters with clothing and armor that bestow boosts to their stats, such as defense or life. Most of the outfits are unlocked by purchasing them with gold earned while playing the game. The Warrior's Kimono, an upper body outfit for male characters, is available right from the start.

Instructions

Existing Characters

  Launch the game and press "Start" to access the main menu.

  Select "Character Creation" and then select any of the male characters on the character select screen.

  Select "New Data" and then scroll down to the "Change upper body equipment" section.

  Select "Change upper body equipment" and then scroll down to the "Warrior's Kimono."

  Press "A" on the Xbox 360 and "X" on the Playstation 3 to equip this garment.

  Finish customizing your character and then select "Finish" from the "System" tab.
New Characters

  Launch the game and press "Start" to access the main menu.

  Select "Character Creation" and then select the icon on the middle of the grid that has two character portraits on it.

  Select "New Data" and then select "Create a male character."

  Select the character's fighting style and then select his default character traits.

  Select "Auto-generate character" and then press "A" on the Xbox 360 or "X" on the Playstation 3 to confirm.

  Select "Start editing this character" and then scroll down to "Change upper body equipment."

  Select "Change upper body equipment" and then scroll down to the "Warrior's Kimono."

  Press "A" on the Xbox 360 and "X" on the Playstation 3 to equip this garment.
