Turn your computer off and connect the BenQ drive to it by using a regular SATA cable and boot your computer.
Visit iXtreme.net and download both iXtreme LT and the JungleFlasher utility to your hard drive.
Extract the two downloaded archives by right-clicking on each of them and selecting "Extract here."
Open the folder that contains the files you extracted from the iXtreme LT archive.
Double-click on the "0800_BenQ and phat Lite-on v3" folder, right-click on the "LT-BenQ-0800-v3.bin" file within it and select "Copy."
Open the folder that contains the extracted JungleFlasher files. Double-click on the "Firmware" folder, right-click anywhere inside the folder and select "Paste."
Launch the "JungleFlasher.exe" application which is inside the main JungleFlasher folder.
Open the "MTK Flash32" tab and click on the "BenQ Unlock" button, select "Intro/Device ID" and click on "Read." Wait for the program to finish analyzing your BenQ DVD drive.
Click on the "Save" button to save a copy of your current firmware on your hard drive.
Open the "Firmware Tool 32" tab and click on the "Open Target Firmware" button.
Open the "Firmware" folder and select the "LT-BenQ-0800-v3.bin" file. Click on "Open."
Click on the "Save drive key" button and save your drive's unique identifier on your hard drive.
Click on the "Manual spoofing" button and select "Load key." Use the file browser to locate the key you previously saved and click on "OK."
Open the "MTK Flash 32" tab again and select "Write." Wait for the program to finish copying the new firmware to your BenQ drive.
Turn your computer off and disconnect the BenQ drive.
