How to Fire a MAC Blast

"Halo Wars" is a real-time strategy game that tasks you with leading the soldiers aboard the United Nations Space Command's colony ship, the Spirit of Fire, against the Covenant's forces. The most powerful nonnuclear weapon onboard The Spirit of Fire is the Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, or MAC. This weapon is used to take down the largest Covenant ships, disable energy shields and destroy Scarab walkers. If you are playing a map that requires the use of the MAC Blast, the attack can be selected and used from the "Spirit of Fire" menu.

     Move your onscreen cursor over the area that you want to hit with the MAC Blast.

     Press the "Up" button on the Xbox 360 controller's D-Pad to open the "Spirit of Fire" menu.

   • 3

     Press the "Up" button on the D-Pad a second time to highlight the "MAC Blast" option.

   • 4

     Press the "A" button to select the attack. The MAC Blast will now be fired at the selected location.
