Hidden Skulls
The ̶0;Halo̶1; series has included hidden skulls since ̶0;Halo 2.̶1; These skulls are placed in out of the way locations around the map. Finding them in ̶0;Halo 3: ODST̶1; gives you the achievement ̶0;Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan.̶1; There are three total skulls, each hidden in one new multiplayer map. They are available only in Forge mode and cannot be found during a multiplayer battle.
Citadel
In the Citadel multiplayer map, switch to flying camera mode. Head to the red orb and then turn right. At the glowing wall, fly upward, close to the ceiling. The skull is located on top of the wall, just over a light fixture. Move the camera directly over the skull; then toggle out of flying camera mode holding the ̶0;RB̶1; button. You will fall past the skull, picking it up as you pass.
Heretic
Enter flying camera mode. Go to the purple building at the middle of the map and then fly up to the air vents. The skull is located just below the vents. Fly the camera halfway up the right vent and then toggle into normal mode, dropping your character past the vent. Hold the ̶0;RB̶1; button to pick up the skull.
Longshore
To find the Longshore map skull, fly the camera to the outside of the large corrugated building. Look behind the rectangular duct mounted on the wall, just to the right of the large red billboard. The skull is located on a protrusion at the base of the duct. Fly the camera halfway up the duct, as close to the wall as possible, and then switch to normal mode holding ̶0;RB̶1; to grab the last skull.
