How to Ally Oop on NBA 2K10

"NBA 2K10" is the 10th game in the long-running, critically acclaimed simulation-style basketball series by SEGA/2K Sports. Players can control a team of players in various modes, from Career/Season to Street Ball modes with 1-on-1, 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 play. One of the special moves you can perform in team-based modes is the "alley-oop," a special aerial pass that connects to a player on offense going for a dunk or layup.

Instructions

    • 1

Gain possession of the ball and make your way to half court. Draw the attention of the best opponent defender by passing to the player he's guarding and staying in motion.

    • 2

Set a pick by pressing "Down" on the d-pad. Since you have the strongest defender occupied, calling a pick uses two of your players to try and create an opening so you can pass to someone who can drive to the hoop unopposed.

    • 3

Hold down "Left Trigger" and tap "A" while you have a player charging to the hoop. If executed smoothly, this will lead to an alley-oop maneuver where a player heading to the hoop will catch a pass in midair and dunk or layup the ball.
