What Happens If No Citizens Die in Fable 3?

In "Fable 3" by Lionhead Studios, your character is faced with a grim task: save as many of Albion's citizens as possible in the impending war against darkness. In this game, however, each citizen's life is worth a certain amount of gold, and you must weigh each life -- and each expense -- against the happiness and financial well-being of Albion during your character's pre-war reign over the kingdom. This is an extremely challenging task, but if you are able to balance the immediate needs of the kingdom and still amass enough money to save all of Albion's citizens, your efforts will be rewarded.

Tough Love
- If you save all of Albion's citizens in the war against darkness, you will earn the "Tough Love" Xbox achievement. This achievement does not earn you any gifts or other in-game rewards, but it is a badge of honor to show other Xbox players.
Keep Playing
- If you are unable to save most or any of your citizens, you are greeted by a virtually empty world when you return from the war. Most of the NPCs disappear, which makes it difficult -- and not very fun -- to continue playing the game. If you are able to save most or all of Albion's citizens, you return to a vibrant world you can continue to explore.
Everyone Loves You (Or Not)
- If you are able to meet the immediate needs of your kingdom and still save the 6.5 million gold required to save all of your citizens, you will return from the war a beloved hero. If you needed to sacrifice your kingdom's immediate happiness in order to save enough gold, however, you'll find you are not particularly popular even after the war.
You're (Possibly) Broke
- Saving Albion's citizens is expensive -- 6.5 million gold, to be exact -- and you may find it difficult to save much more before the war commences. If you can defend all of your citizens, you might find that Albion's coffers are nearly empty when the war is over. You can continue playing the game after the final battle, though, and can restore your fortune through real-estate deals, questing and hard labor.
