Adding Movie Previews to the Freestyle Dash

Freestyle Dash is a piece of software designed for the Xbox 360 that allows it to launch various files, such as movie files, that weren't intended for the 360. This requires a JTAG, or unlocked, Xbox gaming console. The program is a menu screen, or dashboard, that allows you to access the files once they are transferred over from your PC. You can even put movie trailers on the Freestyle Dash.

  Install Freestyle Dash on your Xbox 360 if you haven't done so already. Do this by downloading the program for free from the Internet and use your mouse transfer the program to a thumb drive. Insert the thumb drive into the USB port on your Xbox 360 and use the console controller to select the contents of the USB drive. Open the contents to install it and restart the console.

  Open a Web browser on your computer and navigate to a site that offers movie trailers for download.

  Click on the "Download" tab to download the trailer to your computer.

  Use your mouse to drag and drop the trailer file to the thumb drive icon on your computer's desktop.

  Remove the thumb drive from your computer and insert it into the USB port on your Xbox 360.

  Use the console controller to scroll through the options in the main menu until you come to the thumb drive.

  Open the thumb drive and select the trailer file. Click "Save" when prompted and the trailer file will be added to the media library on your Xbox 360 and will be available in the dashboard menu screen.
