Instructions
Add some spin to your shot. Throwing the ball directly down the middle of the lane will usually not result in a strike, and can often lead to the dread 7-10 split. Adding spin lets the ball hit the pins from the side, which increases your chances of a strike. Swinging your arm across your body will add spin to your shot. When aimed right, the ball will hit the center pin from the side. You can also swing your arm away from your body, like a backhand tennis swing, to create reverse spin. Watch for the blue trail behind the ball to indicate you did this move correctly.
Use power shots to add more velocity. Step into your shot and bring your arm all the way up to your shoulder to accomplish this. A gold trail on the ball will indicate you performed it correctly. Hitting the cones with more force will increase your chances of a strike.
Find the sweet spot and be consistent. It will take trial and error until you find just the right spot to aim the ball and just the right amount of spin to achieve a strike. Once you find this position, remember it and repeat it to stack up your strikes. Also, keep your arm to the side of your body so the Kinect can accurately track it and read your movements.
