How to Get Past the Tree in Front of the Door in Batman

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, "Batman: Arkham Asylum" was a critical and commercial hit upon its release in 2009 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It is an action-adventure game with a limited open world, based on abilities Batman unlocks over the course of the game. True to the character, players unlock various gadgets as well, which allow Batman to traverse new areas, analyze clues and set up traps for opponents in combat. These gadgets are crucial in allowing Batman to pass insurmountable obstacles.

Instructions

  Go into "Detective Mode" with the Right Trigger and use explosive gel on front of the door blocked by the tree by selecting the gel with the d-pad, pointing at the hollow floor and pressing Right Bumper to draw the gel on the blocks.

  Get a safe distance away, then press Left Trigger to detonate the gel. Drop down the shaft in front of the door. Look around for the Chronicle of Arkham down here for a completion bonus.

  Run to the end of this corridor, then look up at the end of it. Press Right Bumper on the highlighted ledge to grapple your way out of this underground shaft.
