The Cheats
"Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Trilogy" has a collection of cheats associated with it that can help you breeze through the levels. During the Barnett College level, enter the main hall and approach the blackboard. Enter the code "B83EA1" on the blackboard. This will make you character invincible. If you enter "VKRNS9" on the blackboard, your enemies will be disarmed. If you enter "MDLP69" you will regenerate hearts. If you enter "VIKED7" you will obtain an artifact detector. Entering "V83SLO" will allow you to build faster, and entering "378RS6" will make you dig faster.
The Main Characters
Knowing the benefits of each main character within the "Lego: Indiana Jones" universe will help you defeat the game faster. Indiana Jones' whip can be used to swing across gaps, whip bad guys from a far and snatch objects from a distance. Female characters -- such as Marion and Willie Scott -- have the ability to jump higher than other characters. Characters who are small -- such as Short Round and the Maharaja -- can fit through crawl spaces and vents to grab important items such as keys.
Characters and Items
If your character has a shovel, look for areas that are glowing. Underneath these areas you will find useful objects, treasures and tools. If you obtain a wrench, it can be used to repair broken machinery. Any character holding a blue book can translate hieroglyphs for you. Hieroglyphs are scattered around each level. Locate the parcel within each level and drop it into the mailbox located within that level to unlock a cheat. Collect as many studs as you can find. The silver studs are worth 10 points, the gold studs are worth 100 points, the blue studs are worth 1,000 points and the purple studs are worth 10,000 points. These studs are used to purchase extra characters and cheats. Collect the hearts from enemies you destroy to fill your own heart meter. Each level has 10 treasures. Collect them all to build artifacts. These artifacts will allow you to open bonus levels.
Game Tips
When you obtain an enemy's hat -- which any character you control can wear -- you will be able to enter areas you wouldn't be able to without the hat. You can switch characters at any time, so if the character you're controlling is about to die, simply switch to someone else who is on your side. Smash everything you can. Spider webs, plants, weeds, ivy, railings and certain parts of vehicles can all be destroyed and will earn you more studs.
