How to Get the Expansion Pack on Magic the Gathering

"Duels of the Planeswalkers," a downloadable game on the Xbox 360, is based on the "Magic the Gathering" card game. In the game, two players face off against one another as they attempt to defeat the other player with their cards. There are a limited number of decks and cards available in the main game. However, by purchasing the content expansions from the Xbox Live Marketplace, you can add additional cards, opponents, challenges and achievements to your game. At the time of publication, there were three expansion packs available for the game.

  Scroll to the "Game Marketplace" section on your Xbox 360's main menu.

  Select "Explore New Games."

  Scroll to the "Titles A-Z" tab and select "M."

  Select "Magic the Gathering" from the alphabetical list shown. Select the "Extras" tab.

  Select the expansion pack you wish to download. They are listed as "Expansion Pack 1," "Expansion Pack 2" and "Expansion Pack 3."

  Select "Download." At the time of publication, each expansion pack cost 400 Microsoft Points. The expansion pack automatically installs after downloading.

  Launch "Duels of the Planeswalker." Upon launching the game, all downloaded content is available to play and browse from within the game.
