Balancing Your Garden
There is limited space in your garden, so attempting to collect all the piñatas at once is futile. Instead it is a better strategy to focus your attention on only a few piñatas at a time, that way you can collect all of the rewards associated with one species before moving on to another one. Use the Bounce Board to keep out any unwanted piñatas so that your garden does not become overwhelmed with one species.
Keeping out Professor Pester
Professor Pester is a villain that will enter your garden and ruin your piñatas and plants. The easiest way to deal with Professor Pester is to pay him 500 chocolate coins when he enters the garden. If you do not have enough money to pay him, you can try hitting him with your highest level shovel, although this is not always effective. Purchase a decoy piñata from Costalot, which tricks Pester into destroy the decoy instead.
Pinata Evolutions
Some piñata species can only be obtained by evolving a different piñata species. For example, a Sparrowmint will become a Candary after eating a dandelion. Some evolutions are dangerous to the piñata. For example, a Licaktoad must eat a nightshade berry to become a Lackatoad, however you must hit it with your shovel before it gets sick from the berry. To evolve a Reddhott, you must allow a Taffly to be ignited by a Fire Brand, then use the watering can to extinguish the fire.
Wishing Well and Accessories
Unlock special accessories and the wishing well for your piñata garden by watching the game credits. Begin a new game under the name "Piñata People" to access credit mode. In credit mode, smash all of the items with your shovel to unlock different accessories. Smash all of the piñatas in credit mode to unlock the wishing well. Smash all of the sour piñatas in credit mode to unlock a gamerpic for use with your Xbox 360 profile.
