How to Get Symbols & Colors for Gamertags for the Xbox 360

"Call of Duty: Black Ops" is the seventh installment of the "Call of Duty" series. Previous games by Treyarch, the game's developer, allowed players to add symbols and colors to their clan tags -- prefixes attached to players' screen names up to four characters in length -- depending on the codes used in the clan tag selection. While you can still change the color of your clan tag without codes in "Black Ops," you can no longer add symbols to it. Take note, however, that before you can change the color of your clan tag you must be at least in Prestige 13 mode.

Instructions

  Play "Call of Duty: Black Ops" multiplayer as you normally would until you reach the 13th Prestige. Prestige is when you reach the level 70 cap and restart at level one. Reaching the 13th Prestige requires entering Prestige 12 times. You can access Prestige through the "Playercard" option on the multiplayer main menu.

  Press "A" on the "Playercard." This is found in the multiplayer main menu.

  Press "A" on the "Clan Tag." This is the second option on the list.

  Select one of the options under "Clan Tag Color." You can make your clan tag appear in red, green, cyan, yellow, blue or magenta. As mentioned above, the ability to change colors does not appear until you have reached the 13th Prestige.

  Press "B" to return to the previous menu, saving your changes in the process.
