How to Create an NBA First-Round Draft Pick on My Player Mode in NBA 2K11

"NBA 2K11" is the 11th game in SEGA/2K Sports' basketball sim game series, released in September 2010. "NBA 2K11" marks the return of Michael Jordan to basketball games; he was last seen in "NBA Street, Vol. 2" in 2003. One of the most robust modes in "NBA 2K11" is the revamped Career Mode, combined with the My Player mode, allowing you to track the progress of your created player from the Draft Combine to the NBA Finals. One early goal in this mode is becoming the No. 1 draft pick, which awards you an achievement or trophy.

Instructions

    • 1

Create your character and start the Draft Combine. In all of these modes, if you want to affect the ratings, performance and popularity of your team, always pick the key player: the point guard.

    • 2

Play the three games in the Draft Combine, using your created player to demonstrate good teamplay and leadership. Scoring doesn't matter as much as passing to open teammates, properly setting up plays and not taking bad shots. Scouts may react negatively to your player if he is a high-scoring star-type player.

    • 3

Pay special attention to the player on the opposing team that you're matched against. You gain even more notice for preventing this player from scoring, stealing the ball from him or snatching rebounds away from him. This is the player you are in direct competition with, so making him look bad will help you gain first-round status with most teams.
