How to Make NPCs Attack on Beyond

Released in 2003, "Beyond Good & Evil" pairs Jade, the main playable character of this action-adventure game, with a number of non-player characters, or NPCs, who act as companions in both puzzle solving and fighting. While these sidekick characters will absorb attacks from the enemies you encounter and automatically defend themselves, you can also make them assist in an attack, thereby setting yourself up to deliver the final blow.

Instructions

- 1
  Approach an enemy or a group of enemies until the game segues into fight mode.

  Press the "A" button to defend yourself against any attacks, and wait until an enemy approaches your NPC partner.

  Press "B" to initiate your partner's attack. This will launch the enemy into the air and make a green reticle appear on the game screen.
- 4
  Aim the reticle with your left joystick in the direction you want to send the enemy, and then press "A" to attack him. Jade will then bat the enemy away with her weapon.
