How to Get Ebony Armor in Oblivion for Xbox 360

Your Xbox 360 "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" character can wear many different types of armor, including ebony armor. You have access to a full suit of ebony armor from the very beginning of the game, if you want it. However, since some quest items in the game level up as you do, you might want to wait to get the ebony armor that is available at the beginning of the game. As you progress in the game, more ways to get ebony armor will become available as well.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Vindasel, an Alyeid ruin. You can find the ruin west of the town of Pell's Gate. Inside the ruin, a Bosmer named Umbra wears a full suit of ebony armor. Kill her, and the armor is yours to keep. However, the higher your level, up to 15, when you get the armor, the more powerful the armor. You might also want to wait until you find the shrine of Clavicus Vile and receive a quest there to kill Umbra. Completing the quest rewards you with a unique helm. If Umbra is already dead, you cannot complete the quest.

  Level your character to level 15; then kill marauders as they begin to wear ebony armor at that level. Find marauders in most forts throughout the game world.

  Kill Rigmor at the Roxey Inn, which is located to the west of Imperial City. She should have a full suit of ebony armor from the time your character is at level 15 until you reach level 25. However, you might want to wait, as she will eventually have the more powerful daedric armor.
