How to Get Your Modded Gamertag to Overlap

Modded gamertags allow users to create personal customizations of their profiles to reflect their own lifestyle. When playing first person shooter games, such as ̶0;Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2̶1; or ̶0;Halo Reach,̶1; users may display these modded gamertags. Modify your gamertag to something that other gamers will be able to easily recognize you by. Overlapping your gamertag allows you to create customized text to further customize this particular feature of the game.

Instructions

  Move your gamertag files onto the USB transfer cable to load onto your computer. Connect this USB transfer cable to an open port on your computer and wait for the hardware to load. If this is the first time you have connected this cable, you may need to wait while the system loads the device drivers.

  Download and install the USB Storage Explorer (Xplorer) software to access these files. Run this program as an administrator and extract your gamertag information from the USB transfer cable folder to your desktop or other convenient folder.

  Open the EzGT Final software. Click on the circular logo at the top left of this window to load a list of options. Click on ̶0;Open̶1; and search for your gamertag in the saved folder. Select this file then press ̶0;Open̶1; to load the file.

  Delete the gamertag that appears in the name field of your EzGT Final program. Click on the ̶0;Advanced̶1; tab at the top of this window and select the ̶0;Add Hex̶1; option. Add a space after 0D, creating the characters ̶0;20̶1; after this specific value.

  Click on the ̶0;Add̶1; tab under the ̶0;Advanced̶1; options. Choose any color you like, then write the intended word. Make sure your word is between one and four letters/numbers for overlapping. Any more characters and your gamertag will be too long.

  Select the ̶0;Add Hex̶1; feature once again, except do not add a space this time. Click on the ̶0;Add̶1; tab again and choose a different color. Write the same word that you previously wrote to activate the overlap.

  Save your gamertag so you may use it on your XBOX 360. Click on the EzGT Final logo at the top left and click on ̶0;Save.̶1; Choose the ̶0;Save Text̶1; option to save this file to the intended folder. All of the gamertag files will appear in this folder. Close the EzGT Final software.

  Open the USB Xplorer program and drag the newly created gamertag folder into the content section of this software. The CON file that appears in this folder is your modded gamertag. Eject your USB transfer cable and connect to your XBOX 360. Your modded gamertag is now ready for use during gameplay.
