Tutorial for How to Get TV on Your Xbox 360

Without a cable television subscription, the number of shows available for you to watch is greatly diminished. However, if you have an Xbox 360, you can stream shows from Netflix or Hulu, and watch them on your television. Netflix and Hulu offer free applications that you can install on the Xbox 360. Use these applications to watch your favorite television shows without having to pay a large cable bill each month.

  Sign in with your Xbox Live gamertag and go to the Xbox dashboard. You must be an Xbox Live gold member to use Netflix or Hulu.

  Scroll down to the "Video Marketplace" section, then scroll right and select "Netflix" or "Hulu Plus" to download the application. Confirm that you want to download the application and wait for it to install on the console.

  Open the application by selecting it from the Video Marketplace section of the dashboard.

  Sign in to your Hulu Plus or Netflix account, depending on which application you are using. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for one on the Xbox 360 or on the service's website. Hulu and Netflix offer free trials.

  Browse the service's list of available television shows. Select the show you want to watch and press "Play" to begin streaming it instantly through the Xbox 360.
