How to Put a Debit Card on XBox

Microsoft's Xbox Live service offers two membership options: a limited unpaid membership and a premium monthly fee membership. If you choose the latter, the console allows you to set up payment using multiple options, such as a credit card or through PayPal. You also have the option to use your debit card in place of a credit card. Add your debit card to your payment options using your console's built-in account management tools.

  Log in to your Xbox Live profile.

  View the "My Xbox" area of the dashboard menu.

  Scroll right and choose your Gamertag. New options appear.

  Scroll to the Account Management area.

  Choose "Manage Account." The Your Billing Options page opens.

  Open "Manage Payment Options."

  Choose "Add Credit Card." This option also applies to debit cards.

  Enter your credit card information into the corresponding fields, select "Next" and confirm the details on the following prompt.
