How to Do a Header in Kinect Sports Soccer

Kinect Sports features multiple games for sports fans, such as track and field, bowling and volleyball. Gamers also have the opportunity to play a virtual soccer match, utilizing Kinect's motion sensor. Just as in a real soccer match, you have the opportunity to score on corner kicks. Rare, the game's developer, refers to these shots as Style Shots because they rely on timing more so than normal shots on goal. On occasion, the computer sends a corner kick at your face, giving you the chance to head the ball on net.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up a corner kick by forcing the defending team to touch the ball last as the ball goes out of play past the back of the field, otherwise called the goal line. The game automatically shoots the corner kick toward you, randomly hitting it toward your feet or at your head. If the game sets you up for a header, a soccer ball icon appears near your head as the computer shoots the corner kick.

    • 2

Wait for the two circles, one around the soccer ball icon and the other closing around the soccer ball icon, to align as the computer kicks the ball toward you.

    • 3

Jump and nod your head forward just as the two circles align. If performed correctly, the motion should resemble a real life header. Your player heads the ball at the net.
