How to Figure out My XBox Live Gamertag

A Xbox 360 Gamertag is a username that players create as a means of identification within the Xbox Live community. This ID is also used to distinguish two or more existing accounts on the same console. Users can provide their Gamertag ID to friends who wish to add it into their own system. In turn, this allows people to know when the user in question is available to interact online. In the event you cannot remember your Gamertag ID or its spelling, you can inspect it through one of two official methods.

  Turn on your Xbox 360 console and allow it to display the main menu.

  Scroll to the "Sign In" option, located within the "My Xbox" tab.

  Press the "A" button to view your Gamertag, which is composed of the username and avatar you had selected during the profile creation process.

  Navigate to the Xbox Live homepage at www.Xbox.com/live and click the "Sign In" link from the upper right section of the screen.

  Type in the Windows Live credentials associated with your Xbox 360 account, such as your Hotmail or Windows Live Messenger information. Click "Sign In" to proceed.
