How to Transfer Your Gamertag to Your USB

Microsoft provides methods for you to use your gamertag on multiple consoles. In addition to being able to use your Xbox Live account, this allows you to use your settings, achievements, leader board scores and other game-related elements while playing on another console. The Xbox 360 is able to both read and write to USB storage devices. If you would like to transfer your gamertag, access the storage device section and move your gamer's profile to your USB device.

Instructions

      Insert a USB drive into a USB port on the console, and then power it on. Go over to System Settings on the My Xbox menu, and press ̶0;A.̶1;

      Choose ̶0;Memory̶1; and press the ̶0;A̶1; button. This opens a Storage Devices screen. Highlight ̶0;All Devices̶1; and press ̶0;A.̶1; This opens the contents of your storage devices.

      Select ̶0;Gamer Profiles̶1; and push your ̶0;A̶1; button. This exposes your profile. Highlight the profile, and select ̶0;Move.̶1; This takes you back to the Storage Devices list.

      Highlight the ̶0;USB Storage Device̶1; option at the bottom, and press the ̶0;A̶1; button to transfer.

      Remove the USB drive after the transfer completes.
