How to Make a 3D Gamertag With USB

A gamertag is a name that refers to a personalized user profile on the Xbox 360 gaming system. These profiles can be moderately adjusted to settings, such as male or female, through the basic profile settings. For advanced users who want to have more customization options that they can use in games such as "Modern Warfare 2," profiles can be transferred to your computer for effects such as 3D. The process of making your 3D gamertag profile with a USB storage drive is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your USB storage drive into the USB port on your Xbox console, then select the USB device in the Storage Device menu and press the "A" button on your controller. Click "Configure Now" and press the "A" button.

    • 2

Select the system hard drive in the Storage Device menu, then select the "Gamer Profile" option and select the gamertag (profile) you want to use. Press the "A" button, then select "Move" and the USB drive as the move location.

    • 3

Remove the USB drive from the Xbox, then insert the drive into an available USB port on your computer. The folder for the USB drive will appear on your computer desktop.

    • 4

Right-click on your desktop, then click the "New Folder" option and name the folder "3D Gamertag."

    • 5

Drag-and-drop the "Ez CT 2.2" and "USB Xplorer" application files into the folder, then double-click "Ez CT 2.2" icon to launch that application.

    • 6

Select the "Open" option in the top menu of the application, then select the gamertag (profile) in the USB drive folder from the pop-up window and click "OK." Delete the gamertag name that appears in the application window.

    • 7

Click the "Advanced" option, then click the "Add Hex (OD)" option. Select the pink icon in the next window. This color will make the 3D effect on the profile. Click the "Save" option in the top menu and select the "3D Gamertag" folder.

    • 8

Open your "3D Gamertag" folder, then double-click the "USB Xplorer" icon to launch the application. Select "Content" in the left-side menu to display the USB drive content in the main window.

    • 9

Drag-and-drop the 3D gamertag (profile) that you created from the "Gamertag" folder into the main "Content" window of the USB Xplorer application.
