Getting to Know Others
Both peasants and nobles in Albion are impressed by friendly social expressions. Some people like certain expressions more than others. To find out a certain person's likes and dislikes, face that person and hold the "LT" button. Press "Y" for more detailed information. This also displays information about the person's feelings for you. If you want to attract new followers and friends, stand in the center of a town. Use expressions like "Play Lute" or "Dance." Crowds gather, and the white hearts that appear over people's heads means they like that particular expression.
Courtship
People fall in love with you very easily in "Fable II." If a person loves you, a red heart appears over his or her head and stays there, unlike the white hearts that fade after you perform an expression. If you want to marry, select someone who loves you and focus your attention on him or her. Give your potential mate gifts you find on your adventure, like gemstones, flowers or chocolate. Look for a yellow present icon to appear over your partner's head, which means he or she has a gift to give you. Take your partner to watch a romantic sunset at Bower Lake or to the pub for a round of drinks.
Marriage
If you enjoy spending time with your partner, you may want to commit to him or her by proposing marriage. Marriage is only an ideal choice if you are financially stable, since your spouse needs a daily stipend to buy supplies while you travel. Before you get married, buy a house. Some spouses, like nobles, prefer fancy mansions. Others don't mind if you live in a caravan. When you have a house, look for a ring symbol to appear over your beloved's head. Buy a ring at the store and give it to him or her to get engaged. To get married, go to your house and select "Set as Marital Home."
Having Children
Children add more happiness to a thriving marriage. If you want a child, stand in front of your spouse and use the "Come Back to My Place" expression. Your spouse follows you inside your house. A few days later, a baby arrives. The baby eventually becomes a child. Keep your child and spouse happy by coming home to visit them occasionally. All children like to play with their parents. Kids also like gifts, such as dolls, rocking horses or wooden swords.
