How Do I Expand My Garden in Viva Pinata?

Viva Pinata is a life simulation game for Xbox 360, Windows and Nintendo DS, developed by Rare. The premise of the game is to develop a neglected plot of land into a beautiful garden and attracting piñata residents. To increase the size of your garden, you must reach level 11. You receive another garden size upgrade at level 21. Each level requires 20 awards and the only way to increase garden size is to achieve these higher levels.

  Fertilize each type of plant. This gives you 3 bonus growth awards for each plant. Purchase fertilizer from Costolot̵7;s shop or ask a Taffy piñata to produce fertilizer for you by feeding the piñata fruit. Choose the fertilizer based on the color of the plant. The color of fertilizer corresponds directly with the color of the plant. Sprinkle the fertilizer right after planting for maximum growth.

  Purchase domestic piñatas from Miss Petula's Paper Pets.

  Create variant piñatas to earn up to three variant awards for each piñata species. Feed piñatas specific fruits to change their color. You need to change three of the same piñata species in order to earn the maximum amount of awards.
