Call of Duty 4 Elevator Tutorial

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is a first-person shooter game from developer Infinity Ward that allows players to take control of U.S. Special Forces operatives as they try to stop Russian extremists from plunging the Middle East into war. The game's online multiplayer level, "Strike," has a glitch that allows players to soar straight up and hover above the battlefield. To perform this "elevator glitch," players need to stand against a specific wall in the level and position their character correctly.

Instructions

  Head toward the alleyway to the left of the courtyard containing the large statue. Jump on top of the trash can next to the opening of the alleyway and then onto the stone wall. Jump to the other side of the alleyway entrance and face the gap between the wall and building.

  Crouch by pressing the "B" button and push forward on the left thumbstick while looking up. Continue pushing forward until your character can no longer stand up. Turn slightly toward your right and push forward again until your character cannot stand.

  Turn back slightly to your left until you are facing directly up toward the roof of the building. Press the "B" button repeatedly while facing up. You should not stand up when pressing the "B" button; if you do, reposition yourself by repeating the earlier steps.

  Look up while crouching and continue to press the "B" button until you begin to climb up the face of the building. Once you begin moving upward, you can move the right thumbstick to change your perspective. Push forward on the left thumbstick once you clear the roof's ledge to land on top of the building, or use only the right thumbstick to remain floating above the battlefield.
