The Custacean pinata is a new addition to the "Viva Pinata" series introduced in "Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise" for the Xbox 360. This crablike creature first appears when you sprinkle sand over two square pinometers of your garden and visits when your garden is composed of 10 pinometers each of sand and water. To get a Custacean to become a permanent garden resident, though, you need to increase the sand and water to 12 pinometers each and place a surfboard in the garden. The surfboard is sold at Costolot's Store, but not until you reach a certain gardening level.

Raise your gardening level to 15.

Press the "X" button, and select "Village."

Go to Costolot's Store, and select "Buy."

Choose "Garden Items."

Highlight the surfboard, then press the "A" button to select it.

Move the surfboard to where you want it in your garden, and press "A." Press "A" again to continue.

Press the "Back" button to finish shopping, and purchase the surfboard for 187 chocolate coins.
