XBox Cheats for The Sims 2

In "The Sims 2" for Xbox players take control of a virtual character known as a Sim and play out the various aspects of their Sim's every day life, from decorating a home to getting a promotion at work. Although "The Sims 2" strives to be a replication of real life, unlike the real world, players may use cheat codes to make life easier for their Sim.

Master Code
- You must first enter the Master Code to use any of the other codes in "The Sims 2." To activate the Master Code, press "L", "R", "Directional Pad Up", "A" and "Black." If entered correctly an item called the Cheat Gnome will appear on your Sim's lawn, although it does not look like an actual lawn gnome. With the Master Code activated you must still enter the other cheat codes for the game, however you must interact with the Cheat Gnome to turn on the cheat codes.
Skill and Mood Cheats
- Enter the mood cheat code to max out your Sim's mood meters for every category. Press "Directional Pad Up," "B," "Directional Pad Up," "Directional Pad Right" and "White" to unlock the mood cheat. The skill cheat allows your Sim to instantly gain levels in a particular skill, such as cooking or logic. Press "Y," "B," "X," "Black" and "Directional Pad Left" to unlock the skill cheat. Interact with the Cheat Gnome to set your Sim's mood and skill levels.
Time and Money Cheats
- If you do not want to wait while your Sim sleeps or works at his job, use the time travel cheats to speed up the clock by six hours instantly. Press "B," "X," "L," "Directional Pad Up" and "Directional Pad Down" each time you want to move the clock ahead. Use the money cheat to add $10,000 to your Sim's account. Press "R," "L," "Black," "Directional Pad Right" and "Directional Pad Left" each time you want to add more money.
Unlock Items
- Some items are not immediately available in the game, but can be unlocked early using cheat codes. Press "B," "White," "Directional Pad Left," "B," "Directional Pad Up" and "B" to unlock all story mode locations. Press "B," "White," "Directional Pad Left," "B," "Directional Pad Up" and "B" to unlock all locations and lots. Unlock all clothing options by pressing "X," "Black," "Directional Pad Down," "Directional Pad Right" and "X." Unlock all household objects by pressing "White," "B," "Directional Pad Down," "Directional Pad Left" and "Directional Pad Up." Unlock all recipes by pressing "Black," "X," "Directional Pad Up," "Directional Pad Down," "Directional Pad Right" and "A."
