How to Make an Xbox GameShark Work With Action Replay

The Xbox GameShark and Xbox Action Replay are essentially the same device made by a different company. Both devices use modified game saves created by the company that allow you to cheat in the game. Both devices use the standard Xbox memory card format to load the modified saves, so both their reading docks (the item that connects to the PC) are compatible to be used with each other's memory cards.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your GameShark memory card into the Action Replay memory dock.

    • 2

Connect the Action Replay memory dock into your computer's USB port. If you have never installed the Action Replay software before on your computer, you must do so now. Insert the Action Replay software disc into the computer CD drive to install the software.

    • 3

Open the Action Replay software by double-clicking on the Action Replay icon to open the program.

    • 4

Download the modified saves (see Resources for an official game saves site).

    • 5

Drag the downloaded modified saved game files onto the Action Replay software under the title "Memory Card." If you are unsure how to use the Action Replay software, read the "Read Me" file located in the Action Replay install directory.

    • 6

Click on "Exit" on the Action Replay software, and remove the Memory Card from the dock.

    • 7

Insert the GameShark memory card into your Xbox, and load the game saves.
