How to Type in XBox 360 Cheats

Many Xbox 360 games are designed to respond to special button combinations that will unlock special in-game features or abilities. These are known as game cheats, and some games even have special menus specifically designed for typing in game cheat codes. If you know a cheat for your Xbox 360 game, typing it in or using a button combination (depends on the game) to unlock it really isn't difficult.

Instructions

  Turn on your Xbox 360 console and a controller, insert the Xbox 360 game into the disc tray, and then wait for the game to load. If it doesn't load automatically, navigate to "My Xbox" and click on your game.

  Go to the "Cheats," "Unlocks," or other similarly named menu in the game's main menu, or if your game cheat is an in-game button combination, begin playing the game.

  Type in the Xbox 360 game cheat code with the onscreen keyboard or press the proper buttons on your controller if it is a button combination cheat to enable your specific Xbox 360 game cheat.
