How to Disable the Vault Laser in Splinter Cell

As agent Sam Fisher, your job toward the end of the "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory" bank level is to acquire and escape with 50 million dollars. Along the way, guards, security cameras and other hazards must be avoided or neutralized. After acquiring the funds, Fisher encounters a security laser blocking his exit from the bank's vault. One of the pieces of equipment supplied to Fisher upon entering the bank level is the key to bypassing the laser in the exfiltration portion of the level.

Instructions

  Head through the level up to the point where you lead Fisher out of the vault after acquiring the money. Start the level a few feet from the vault door, looking out into the facility.

  Activate Fisher's thermal vision feature -- you will see the laser emanating from the upper left section of the screen, heading right across your path. Avoid walking straight out of the vault, triggering the laser.

  Select the OCP attachment for your weapon from the secondary weapons list. Press and hold the correct button specific to your console to activate the OCP attachment until the laser is defeated.

  Exit the vault, heading back through the building's back exit to the exfiltration point.
