How to Unlock the Playable Characters in Jade Empire

The normal version of "Jade Empire" has a total of six playable characters for the player select from. Players with the limited edition of the game can unlock a seventh bonus character, Monk Zeng. The process to unlock Monk Zeng requires downloading him from the "Jade Empire: Limited Edition" bonus disc to the console hard drive. There must be save data on the hard drive from "Jade Empire" before he can be unlocked. This same process can be used when playing the game on the Xbox 360, as well.

Things You'll Need

Xbox console
Xbox 360 console with hard drive (alternative)
"Jade Empire" game disc
"Jade Empire: Limited Edition" bonus disc

Instructions

- 1
  Insert the "Jade Empire" game disc into the Xbox disc drive. The Xbox 360 console can be used in place of the original Xbox.

  Wait for the main menu to appear. The game will have written save data onto the console hard drive. There is no prompt to indicate this has happened, but it will be completed by the time the main menu has appeared.

  Replace the game disc with the "Jade Empire: Limited Edition" bonus disc. Close the drive to start the disc.

  Select "Monk Zeng Content" option from the bonus disc menu. This option will unlock the bonus character and Tien's Justice fighting style.

  Replace the bonus disc with the game disc. Close the drive to start the game.
- 6
  Start a new game. Monk Zeng will be unlocked as a playable character during character creation.
