Easily Defeat AI with Leon and Bayman
Leon and Bayman have nearly the same move set in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. They both have a combo that can be used to easily defeat the AI on easy and normal difficulty levels. This combo is tantamount to a cheat because the AI will virtually never attempt to block or counter it on those two difficulty level.
Hold the control stick in the direction away from your opponent. Press punch three times and follow with a kick. This combo does good damage and juggles the enemy after the first hit.
Easily Beat Tengu
Tengu is the final boss of Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. He is capable on unleashing very devastating attacks against the player. Most of his attacks are not blockable or at least not able to be countered. This makes fighting Tengu quite difficult. Tengu's move choice is based on how far away the player is from him, and this can be used to cheat at the fight. Try to keep just outside of arm's reach of Tengu during the fight. The player will not be far enough away that he will use his long-range attacks, but is too far away for him to connect with his short range attacks. The player can whittle away Tengu's health from this spot with little worry about his attacks.
Earn All Costumes without Playing on Hard
The main way to unlock all the costumes in the game is to beat story mode for every character on the various difficulty levels. Most characters require beating the game on Normal or Hard in order to unlock their costumes. There is an easier, faster way to avoid this entirely in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. Play through each character's storyline on easy, except Leon. Play through Leon on normal. You will now have all the characters unlocked. Play through survival mode on easy with enemy health set at the lowest possible setting. Collect all 66 different items dropped by enemies defeated in survival mode. Once all 66 are unlocked, you will have all the costumes as well. You need to use every character at least once to do this. Each character has three unique items, which can easily be found in one survival mode playthrough.
