Xbox owners can use their system to play their favorite video games and watch DVDs. If you know that a young child will be using the Xbox, however, you may want to limit the games the child can play and the DVDs he can child watch. You can do this can by creating a parental control password for the Xbox. If you ever forget your password, or if you just want to use a new one, you will first have to reset the parental control password on the Xbox.

Turn on your Xbox (without a disc in the device).

Grab your Xbox controller and scroll down to "Settings." Then press the "A" button.

Scroll down to the "Parental Control" option and press the "A" button again.

Press the following four buttons in order: "X," "Y," "Left trigger" and then "X." After you have done this, you can reset the parental control password on your Xbox.
