How to Use Co-Op on Xbox Live

Xbox LIVE is an online multiplayer gaming service provided by Microsoft to Xbox 360 owners. One feature this allows is cooperative gameplay with friends who are not sitting beside you on a couch. Beginning cooperative gameplay requires a game which supports this feature and inviting your friend to the game through the Xbox LIVE Friend feature. You cannot invite anybody to your game unless you are friends with them on your Xbox LIVE profile, and you cannot invite someone who is appearing offline.

     Load your game and set up the game as instructed by its manual.

     Press the silver button on your Xbox 360 controller.

     Highlight "Friends" on the pop-up menu and press "A."

     Select the friend you want to join your game.

     Select "Invite to Game." Your friend must have the game already in his Xbox 360 to accept and join your game.
