How to Beat Thieves' Forest in Castle Crashers

"Castle Crashers" is a darkly-comedic throwback to the old side-scrolling beat-em-up arcade games, like "Double Dragon" or "Streets of Rage." You play as a faceless, nameless knight charged simply with rescuing three princesses from an evil warlock. Your quest will take you, violently, through many different game levels and locales, one of which is the "Thieves' Forest" near the beginning of the game. This level is not especially hard, but can be mildly tricky if you don't know what you're doing.

Instructions

- 1
  Move right as soon as the level starts. You eventually will be ambushed by several large groups of thieves. Thieves are relatively weak, but some of them have bows and arrows that can hinder your attacks from a distance.

  Close with and kill the thieves as soon as possible, then continue to the right. Collect the Seahorse from the animal orb near the river. This pet allows you to move quickly while in water.

  Continue to the right until you reach the ruins. You will be attacked by a lot of small black fuzzy creatures here. Defeat the fuzzies, or "trolls" as they are called in the game, and continue moving forward until you come to a large breakable wall at the back of the ruins.

  Break the wall and collect the wrapped club weapon behind the pillar at the top of the screen, then move through the newly-made hole in the wall.

  Kill or ignore the fleeing thieves and woodland creatures and continue moving to the right. A larger troll will break out of the barn and attack.

  Hit the large troll with your strongest attacks and magical blasts. Do not worry about the smaller trolls, as they are more of an annoyance at this point than a major threat.

  Kill the large troll, then head into the barn to complete the stage.
