How to Add a Gamertag to a Desktop

The Xbox Live Gamertag is a virtual identity that stores information about your accomplishments in various titles for the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade. In addition, this handle is your name on the Xbox Live community, visible to others who play games with you on the console's online multiplayer platform. Using Xbox Live Card, an official member of the Xbox Community Developer Program, you can generate a small badge with your Gamertag information. You can add this badge, which contains your username, gamerscore, avatar and recent games, to a webpage or your desktop.

Instructions

  Visit the Xbox Live Card website (xboxlc.com).

  Enter your Gamertag into the indicated field and select a badge style from the drop-down menu. The image below will display a preview of the Gamercard without your information. Click the "Generate Gamercard" button.

  Select and copy the URL labeled "Image URL" beneath your new Gamercard.

  Right-click your desktop browser and click "Properties." Select the "Desktop" tab and click "Customize Desktop."

  Click the "Web" tab and click "New." Paste the URL of your Gamercard image. Click "OK" to add your Gamertag info to your Windows desktop.
