How to Link a Gamertag

For "Halo" players and Bungie fans linking your Gamertag has always been a temptation in order to track your stats and see how you stack up against your Bungie brethren. However, not until recently did that temptation yield a very tangible reward: blue flames. In honor of the upcoming Bungie day, Bungie.net has offered the blue flames once reserved for staff to everyone willing to link their account with their website. The process is simple and should take no more than 10 minutes.

  Sign up for an Xbox LIVE account if you have not done so already. Note the email you use to create the account.

  Log on to Bungie.net and create an account, using the same email used to create your Xbox LIVE account. You will be brought to a page where you must click "I consent to bungie.net using my windows live ID," after which you will be prompted to create a profile.

  Play a few multi-player matchmaking games in the next 24 hours. This will ensure that your information gets pushed through and your Gamertag is linked successfully.
